Review:
Rowan starts to embrace her gifts as a magical Wildsmith who heals and speaks to animals. But saving a young Pegasus brings difficult decisions….
Danger comes closer than ever, threatening her family and even Rowan’s own life. When she is betrayed, which friends can she trust? With her family divided and war still raging, where does Roman belong now?
I absolutely loved the first instalment of the Wildsmith series and this really did not disappoint. This is the second book in this wonderful charming series, and is full of magic, mystery, adventure and you just want to keep the pages turning. A stunning fantasy read for middle-grade readers, this book is about friendship, magic and is gripping from start to finish.
Combing magical creatures, including baby dragons with themes of wildlife conservation, this book is clearly written from experience of fostering animals as Liz has written from the heart. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Joe Todd-Stanton this book will make a wonderful addition to any upper primary school library classroom and I can’t wait to read more in the series.
Wildsmith: The Hidden Sea is publishing in June 2024!
